A combination comprising a rigid and trailer combines the advantages of large capacity with high manoeuvrability. The bodywork alone often does not provide sufficient fuel, whilst the trailer requires an additional vehicle to tow it. Compared to a semi-trailer, such a combination is more manoeuvrable, moves more easily around the airport apron and allows for flexible adjustment of capacity by coupling or uncoupling the trailer.
All our vehicles are certified by the main transport regulatory authorities (TDT, TÜV, Bureau Veritas, Vincotte and many others).
Tanks
The tanks are fitted with baffles to limit the movement of liquids whilst the vehicle is in motion, as well as venting systems, overfill protection, ground connection systems and filter components. The tanks comply with ADR standards.
Chassis
The number of axles depends on the type of tank and chassis, ranging from 4 to as many a 7 axles for the entire set.
Loading
At fuel depots or at airport fuel storage facilities using refuelling systems, which minimise vapour emissions and the risk of fuel contamination. The process is monitored by measurement systems that track the amount of fuel dispensed, as well as safety measures designed to prevent the tank from overfilling.
Staff facilities
The vehicles are fitted with automatic systems for monitoring operating parameters, as well as clear fuel level and pressure gauges. To enhance safety, they feature non-slip platforms, handrails, LED work lights and camera systems.
Unloading
Unloading is carried out using pumps, filtration systems and flexible hoses fitted with appropriate connectors for refuelling aircraft.
Finishing details
Colours of your choice from the RAL or FLN palette – one colour for the tank, another for the chassis and components. Other elements such as graphics, emblems and logos are applied as per the airport requirements.
