Military airport rigids are a more compact alternative to semi-trailers. They do not require the use of an additional truck unit, as they are mounted on a truck chassis themselves – making them more versatile in the event of sudden deployment.
All our vehicles are certified by the main transport regulatory authorities (TDT, TÜV, Bureau Veritas, Vincotte and many others).
Tank
Reinforced tank with a cabinet housing a dispensing system that can be fitted either in front of or directly behind the tank. As standard, the tank is fitted with a ladder featuring a non-slip coating, together with an upper safety pantograph.
Chassis
The tank is mounted on a 2-, 3- or 4-axle chassis. An example of such a chassis is the SCANIA 6x2.
Loading
Air-side only or both air- and road-side loading, depending on tank capacity and project type.
Possible uses
Military aviation rigids at the airport can be used to refuel smaller aircraft (due to the limited capacity of the fuel tank), such as jet aircraft or combat helicopters. They can also provide immediate support directly on the front line (off-road version).
Unloading
Unloading is possible thanks to two cabinets with separate dispensing systems.
The coating system provides effective camouflage in visible light, ultraviolet and infrared light, minimising the vehicle's detectability.
