We used DN80 (3‘) or DN100 (4’) flanged connections; depending on the design, API-type quick-release couplings or dry disconnect couplings may also be used, which minimise fluid leakage during disconnection. The loading bay is equipped with a pump system, a flow meter, shut-off valves and an earthing system; in the case of aviation fuels, it also features a filtration and water separation system.
