A hydrant pit cleaning & flushing unit is a specialized vehicle or mobile service unit used at airports to maintain hydrant pits — which are part of the underground hydrant system for refueling aircraft — in proper working order. Its primary function is to remove contaminants and flush the interior of the manholes and their equipment to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the fueling system.

Tank
The tank and the entire vehicle are manufactured exclusively in the civilian version. Manufactured and designed only
as a rigid version vehicle.
Chassis
2-, 3- or 4-axle chassis. All available chassis brands can be used.
Loading
In the case of equipment used to clean and flush hydrant pits at airports, two separate tanks are used: a tank for clean water, used for flushing, and a tank for waste water and contaminants, into which the water and sediment extracted from the pit are discharged. The clean water tank is filled at the technical base or at an airport infrastructure service point.
Intended use
For JET A-1 fuel and water. Other fuels and liquids by arrangement. Vehicle ready for cleaning only, or for cleaning and rinsing with a hydrant inlet line.
Unloading
Fuel pump for recirculation and draining of the fuel tank. Compatible metering systems for installation: Alfons Haar, Liquid Controls, SATAM, ISOIL.
Additional equipment
An optional hose reel for bottom-point flushing, a water flushing hose and an air hose, a vacuum tank with a vacuum hose, and a hydraulic jib for lifting hydrant valves and covers.
