The company was founded in Belgium in 1963 and started with the production of underground tanks for fuel and heating oil, hence the abbreviation "STOKOTA" derived from the Dutch word “STOOKOLIETANKS”. Stokota growth was further enhanced by acquisitions and the establishment of new branches. In 1996, the first Polish branch was established in Kielce. In 1998, EKW was acquired, and Stokota expanded its portfolio of specialty trailer construction. In 2000, CIME in Raismes, northern France, was acquired, further expanding Stokota geographic reach. In 2001, the Polish branch was expanded to include a second production plant in Elbląg.
Today Stokota is an ambitious company whose vehicles are used throughout Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Our vehicles can be seen on public roads, airports, and industrial sites.
